... do the new factions missions? Or do you have to be born in Cantha to do them?

Characters' from Prochecies can travel from Lion's Arch to Cantha.

I don't know if you can bring Chars in Cantha to Tryia though...

I think its only from tyria to cantha but i am not sure whe just need to wait and see.

yes, cantha characters will be able to go to tyria via quests (as per galie) and yes your tyria character can travel to cantha IF you merge gwp with factions..

Yes, I know they can go to Cantha but can they also do the Cantha missions or just walk around?

If you merge chapter 2 to your account. You can do everything in cantha with your chapter 1 characters.

There is no point of them going to Cantha (marketplace) and just stay there and not be able to "walk around" or do missions is there?
